EMERGENCY FUND
We Believe That Every Child Deserves The Tools To Live A Healthy, Happy & Mindful Life
Our mission-oriented partnerships ensure that we can create culturally appropriate, effective, and accessible resources, tools and programming to support the mental well-being of our beneficiaries.
Why Gaza?
Since October 2023, children and families across Gaza have endured devastating loss, repeated displacement, the destruction of their homes and communities, and prolonged exposure to violence and insecurity - a catastrophe now considered a genocide by the United Nations. Amidst this extraordinary humanitarian crisis, mental health and psychosocial support cannot be an afterthought. In July 2024, after months of research and due diligence, ART OF HOPE launched its Gaza mission in partnership with two Palestinian grassroots arts, drama, music groups - ChildSmile and Asayel Al Watan - in an effort to provide creative psychosocial support and trauma-relief for displaced children and adults. Working across multiple camps, schools, shelters and temporary community spaces across Gaza, our local teams use drama, theatre, storytelling, music, traditional Palestinian Dabkeh and creative expression to help children reconnect with their emotions, rediscover moments of childhood and build a sense of community under constant bombardment and displacement. For women who have endured unimaginable loss, our storytelling gatherings create spaces to speak, be heard and find solidarity. Because some of the deepest wounds of war are the ones we cannot see.

ART OF HOPE FOR GAZA
